im thinking of getting a laptop with Microsoft(R) Works 9.0 and i dont know if it comes with microsoft works or not.

Ok Microsoft Works is like Microsoft Office it has a Word Processor and Spread sheets just a diffrent brand than microsoft office.

Its like office expect that it doesn't work with office at all.

Works is its own Basic Word Processor, and spreed sheet program. But the files don't work with Office (word and Excel) as long as you don't use office anywhere else, then works is fine (it is cheap, so cheap that Microsoft is thinking of offering it for free with ads).

Never buy a computer just because it has works!
