I have a brand new Windows Vista Ultimate Edition and I am having difficulty in e-mailing support from Microsoft. It asks me to enter my ID key and it tells me that the ID key is not supported in this country. I actually went down the list and I found out that no country is acceptable for this ID key. I rang Microsoft. They told me to reboot the PC which I had done so many times and the ID key doesn't still work. Microsoft has tested this key and found it is a genuine product key so there's nothing wrong with the product of Vista.
Has anyone had the same situation as me or am I on my own with this one?
Can someone tell me how to get this sorted out too?
Thanks for looking at the question and for answering too.
This is a retail version and not an upgrade or an oem product.
I have built this as a custom PC for myself.

If all I've been reading about Vista is true( using win xp pro here ) you might be better off not using it. You can go to the windows update site and search microsoft for similar problems, you'll probably find a bunch. I am dual booting win xp pro and sabayon linux, i have the best of both worlds! Good luck

I think you have the "OEM" version of Windows Vista. It is the 200 dollar one, for the Ultimate Edition. OEM versions do not support Microsoft Support.
