What is microsoft front page and would i mess up my microsoft word, excel if i delete it?

everytime i open up my document of word, excel and that i get this thing poping up about front page saying the feature you are trying to use is on CD-ROM or other removable disk that is not availabe, insert the microsoft office xp professional with frontpage disk and click OK,

i dont have the disk so i click cancel and it says this

error1706. setup cannoot find require file. check your connection to the network or CD-ROM drive

i click ok and it brings up the document anyway but this comes up everytime i want to get into a file document

Front page is a rather lame program to make web sites. When it was installed it also set up MS personal server so you can preview your web site... It came with many versions of MS office and integrates with both Word and Excel. your not going to hurt Excel or Word by removing it but it does seem the Front Page had become the default app when you open a spread sheet if you remove FP more than likely you have to do the whole "What program do you want to open with"? just select Excel and check use every time and you'll be fine and dandy
