Uninstalling / Reinstalling Microsoft Word?

Whenever I run Microsoft Word it usually comes up with C++ Runtime error. Well anyway the only way to fix it is to uninstall and then reinstall Microsoft Word. Does anybody know how to do this. Please describe in great detail as I am not a very technical person myself.

Honestly, try out OpenOffice.org. It offers a free program that is practically an exact legal duplicate of Microsoft Word. It comes with Excel, Powerpoint, Word -- anything Microsoft Office would come with. Very few/no errors, easy to use program, extremely versatile and compatible, and the only true differences are the name and the color scheme. You can save your documents as either open office format, word format, and loads others. May be easier than dealing with Microsoft's errors.

I believe with Microsoft Office products if you have the actual disk or install file then you can just reinstall and it will unistall/reinstall for you.
hit start%26gt;control panel Add remove programs.

choose word, then click uninstall. restart.

insert office cd. on instalation, click custom. choose only word, then install
